Pokkunuru is a village in NTR district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Chandarlapadu mandal of Vijayawada revenue division.[1][2] It is a part of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region.[3]
"Andhra Pithamaha" Madapati Hanumantha Rao (1885–1970) social reformer of Hyderabad was born in this village.[4]
Education
The primary school education is imparted by the government school, under the State School Education Department.[citation needed]
Politics
On 2013, Panchayat elections were conducted and Komati Prabhkarao is the present sarpanch from Telugu Desam Party.[citation needed]
