Etymology

The name Preeti is derived from the Sanskrit word "प्रीति" (prīti), meaning "pleasure", "joy", "kindness", "favor", "grace", "love", from प्री (prī). Priti is the name of the second consort of the Hindu god of love, Kamadeva.
