Protocardia

Protocardia is an extinct genus of saltwater clams, marine bivalve mollusks in the subfamily Protocardiinae of the family Cardiidae, the cockles.[1]
The internal anatomy of individuals in this genus is sometimes preserved in phosphate.[2]
